Since its debut in 2011, the Musical The Book of Mormon was considered edgy and caused a lot of controversy for its vulgar and profane language. At first, you may expect a show that’s making fun of the Mormon religion entirely, but that is not true. You will see that the musical does not only mock Mormonism but religion in general. No one is spared, not even Jesus or Darth Vader! The intent of The Book of Mormon Musical is not to offend anyone, but to ultimately endorse positive power: It doesn’t matter what you believe in, as long as it can give you hope and make you stronger.

13 SIX Musical on Broadway NYC
Six Broadway New York offers top-notch and entertaining entertainment for the entire family. The characters of the six main actresses were inspired by pop stars such as Rihanna, Ariana Grande and Adele. You can look forward to an impressive evening that evolves from an historical and ironic reappraisal of sorrow and suffering to a boisterous party like a pop concert. The musical Six has been performed in London’s West End, in Chicago, in Boston, in Edmonton, in Sydney, and on several cruise ships. Now Six can be seen on the legendary Broadway in New York.
The musical Six could be seen as a 21st-century-style reckoning with the old monarchical structures – the six ex-wives of Henry VIII, tormented by death, divorce, torture, beheading, and assassination, come together in an afterlife as rebellious divas to collectively sing out, powerfully and sonorously, against the injustices that have befallen them. The musical consists of a retelling of the lives of the six ex-wives, with them holding a contest on stage. The winner of the contest is the woman who had the most horrible experience with her common husband. Continuing their competition, however, the pop queens come to the conclusion that they have defined themselves only through Henry, the King, and have been completely robbed of their individuality. Without their spouse’s affection, they could have led more fulfilling and successful lives, living happily ever after.
